MacDonald International comprises of three major divisions - 'Cost Engineering' , 'Design and Project Management' and "Water and Sustainability", which, together with the Corporate division, form the company’s main structure.

The Cost Engineering Division is dedicated to providing professional services in the fields of Cost Estimation, Quantity Surveying, Risk Analysis and Management, Construction Programming, Constructability Reviews, Tender Documentation and Value Engineering to Government Authorities, construction companies and large engineering consultancies in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

The Design and Project Management Division offers professional services such as Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering and Project Management.

Design of civil infrastructure includes drainage, roads, roundabouts, kerb and gutter, subdivisions and sewer and water applications.

Structural design services include engineering for timber, concrete, steel and composite materials, residential, commercial, industrial and facility structures, bridges, mining facilities and more. Our engineers can also perform forensic analysis on structures to investigate and report on existing structural issues in buildings and the like, and recommend methods of remediation.

Our Project Management expertise extends to residential, commercial, industrial and institutional facility structures; mining construction, facilities management and civil projects such as roadwork, footpaths and cycleway’s.

MacDonald International is also well regarded in the construction industry for our expertise in the preparation and management of documents and contracts.

Our senior staff are regularly called on as experts to assist in dispute and claim resolution.

The Water and Sustainability Division is a new Division of MacDonald International, and is committed to providing professional services to clients involved in the Water/Wastewater industry, Coastal and Maritime industry and sustainability solutions. The Division has the capability of providing all services from the initial investigation, design, through to the delivery of the project.

In the water/wastewater area, the Division can provide all engineering services including design and project management, but also offer to add value to your business by having expertise in the management and operation of the systems, strategic business planning, financial planning, capital works programming, achieving Best Practice Management and Pricing, demand management strategies and implementation, business improvement and benchmarking.

In the area of Coastal/ Maritime, the Division has the capability and expertise in environmental processes, hydrodynamic processes (wind, waves and currents),  sediment processes, geological processes, armouring for seawalls and  dikes, revetments, shoreline stabilization, beach nourishment, coastal management, dredging, adaptation and retreat, and advise on climate change.

The Division offers services in optimizing operational and maintenance systems including asset management, operational procedures, maintenance procedures and OH&S systems.

We can also provide the whole suite of services to assist in delivery of capital works including investigations, estimating, strategic, concept and detailed designs, tender documentation and administration, project administration and project management.

Our experienced staff will provide professional services in all aspects of Water Supply, Sewerage, Coastal, Maritime management and Sustainability, which are augmented by the other support services by Divisions of MacDonald International.
