MacDonald International sees risk analysis as an intrinsic characteristic of every construction project, and the management of risk has become an essential component of construction best practice. Risk analysis is a key element of all the services we offer. The risk management process that we offer allows management of uncertainty through a structured auditable process, and allows rational investment in treatment to reduce the level of risk exposure to an acceptable level. It takes away some of the project uncertainty and provides a platform for astute contingency planning.
Critical to the successful application of the risk management process are formal risk meetings. These meetings are "brain-storming" sessions with a facilitator and a
representative group of project stakeholders. All stages of the risk management process (identification, evaluation, assessment and treatment plans) can be developed, and provided by MacDonald International.
We use @RISK software to define and quantify risks and opportunities, and to assess probabilities of various outcomes. We also prepare an appropriate risk register and management plan, based on statistical analysis of the most likely project impacts and a range of high-level probabilities.
